The right transept of the church. The little shield looking piece (dark brownish-gold) at the "1 o'clock" position is part of the sundial system installed circa 1703. It allows light to shine through reaching the floor telling the time and date by the position on marble inlaid plan. The green columns are faux (fake) simply being painted on a flat wall. |
