This is the view "across the street" from me. This woman was on holiday. She had worked excavating and sketching this section of the officers quarters from the 3rd century by herself for the better part of two weeks. She came back during my last week, using the last of her vacation time at work, because she enjoyed the sense of accomplishment. |

Here is my wall plaster. It was under a debris field of 2nd century material that had been used as fill during the 3rd century building phase. It still retains its red paint. |
