Simca 1100/1204: the father of the Horizon (Omni).  It was manufactured in France, and sold worldwide.  It was manufactured from 1967-1981.  It spawned several variants including a pick up, suv (the first, manufactured by Matra as the Rancho Matra), and the prototype European minivan by Matra (which became the Renault Espace after Peugeot decided against it after buying Chrysler Europe/Simca).

A rear view of the 1970's version of the Simca 1100 that I found in 1999 not far from the Duomo in Florence.

The 1969 add at left is from "Look" magazine as is this price quote.
